Local media pervades Singapore prime minister's rants against America's president-elect.
Today, the media blamed Donald Trump as Singapore is falling into recession.
Isn't this typical of "own-self-check-own-self"?
Isn't this typical of "no transparency" towards the managements of our CPF funds?
Isn't this typical of "no accountability" even when people died from Hep C, guys who died in NS, children who committed suicide after being interrogated by the police?
Isn't this typical of a government that treats citizens as machines to increase GDP from public housing and public healthcare?
Isn't this typical of a government that doesn't care about the citizens and if the citizens will benefit from treaties signed?
Why didn't the government sign and rectify CAT - Convention against Torture and Other Cruel Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment?
Why didn't the government sign and rectify CED - Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance?
Why didn't the government sign and rectify CESCR - International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights?
These are treaties by the United Nations and are signed by many first world countries that protect and put their citizens first.
What about Singapore?
Does the government care about the well-being of Singaporeans?
Or do they put their GDP and bonuses before the high cost of living that's affecting Singaporeans on a daily basis?
