Leong is the Past President of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, an alumnus of Harvard University, has authored 4 books, quoted over 1500 times in the media , has been host of a money radio show, a daily newspaper column, Wharton Fellow, SEACeM Fellow, acting managing editor and columnist for theonlinecitizen, columnist for Malaysiakini, a Member on the CIFA International Advisory Board, executive producer of the movie Ilo Ilo (14 international awards), treasurer of Maruah, and invited to speak more than 100 times in more than 25 countries on 5 continents. He has served as Honorary Consul of Jamaica and founding advisor to the Financial Planning Associations of Brunei and Indonesia. CHILD ABUSE in Singapore shot up 459% despite signing UNCRC

Singapore Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) revealed that the number of investigations into child abuse cases shot up 459% from 383 in 2012 to 2,141 in 2021 despite signing United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) Source: https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/number-of-child-abuse-cases-investigated-remained-high-in-2022-msf According to the government propaganda, the increase in the number of child abuse cases is because "the Children and Young Persons Act amendment came into effect in July 2020, so those who are 16 and older but under 18 will now be part of the statistics on child abuse" Is the government trying to say that child abuse cases for children below the age of 16 did not increase as most of the abuses are against children between the age of 16 and 18? On 27 Jun 2016, Singapore’s state court Judge CHAY YUEN FATT made judgement against me as follows: 1. SGD$2,500 fine because “She rallied her Facebook readers”. 2. SGD$600 fine because I “made vitriolic speeches to denounce the government and various government policies”. On 22 Feb 2017, Singapore’s high court Justice SEE KEE OON rejected my appeal and I was immediately being sent to face 5 weeks in prison for not paying the fine of $3,100. On 22 Feb 2017 at 10am, I was at Singapore’s High Court for the appeal against the judgement made by Singapore’s state court Judge CHAY YUEN FATT. Together with me were two elderly co-accused Ivan Koh (age 62) and Janet Low (age 57). During the appeal hearing, I asked if it was correct to amend the charge sheet just a day before the trial? Our trial was on 13 Oct 2015, but the charge sheet was amended on 12 Oct 2015. It was not acknowledged by us and was not brought to our attention. My response to the Singapore government Ministry of Home Affairs' statement against me.

MHA: First, Ms Han was not subjected to a strip search as she had claimed. She was searched by a female officer and had remained clothed for the entire duration. Second, her allegation that male officers had walked past while she was being searched is untrue. Ms Han was based in the women's wing of the lock-up, which is not accessible to male officers. A privacy screen is also deployed when a search is in progress. What I posted on my blog: “Even socks were taken away from us and we were made to sit on the cold concrete floor.” “There was supposed to be screen used but they simply put it there for show rather than really using it.” (Note: The MHA statement only said "State Court" - I was "body searched" in both the High Court and the State Court).
