Telok Blangah Crescent Block 11 Market And Food Centre

Thinking back to when I gave my first speech at Hong Lim Park during national day in 2013 - I’m thankful to the people who journeyed on with me.

In 2014, we got a 0.5kg cake and gathered at Serangoon garden.
In 2015, we got a 1kg cake and gathered at Ridout tea garden.
In 2016, we got a 2kg cake and gathered at Telok Blangah crescent.

This is the first time we nearly ran out of food.

I’m thankful to the people who have helped me along the way, especially the volunteers who helped bring the Radin Mas residents down to the market.
I’m thankful to the hawkers who gave us more food than we have ordered and the residents who all decided to chip in from chicken wings to the different kuehs and delicacies.
I’m thankful to the cleaners who joined us in keeping the place clean as we left the place better than when we arrived.

Thank you to all who came tonight.
